About the Artist

I’m Rachel — a portrait artist and oil painter inspired by the quiet complexity of human expression and the glory of the Creator reflected in every face, form, and natural scene. Born and raised in New Jersey, I grew up near the rough Atlantic waters that shaped many of my early pieces. Though I once dismissed art school, unsure that painting could ever become a true path, my life took a different turn — one that led me back to the easel with clarity and conviction.

When epilepsy disrupted every other part of life, painting became not just an outlet, but a refuge. It was the one thing I could return to — a space to process, to pray, to express what words often couldn’t. Over time, what began as therapy became vocation.

Now living in Southwest Florida, I’m exploring new light, new landscapes, and new stories to tell through paint. My first love is still oil portraiture — capturing not just how someone looks, but who they are. I’m inspired by artists like John Singer Sargent, Degas, Andrew Tischler, and Michelle Dunaway — painters who blend precision with emotion, which is exactly what I try to do in my own work.

The holistic side of my business grew from the same place — trying to find healing and peace in the middle of a hard season. I’ve learned a lot from herbalists and natural health practitioners, and the remedies I offer are ones I use myself. They’ve helped me feel like myself again, and I’m happy to share them with others who need the same support.

Whether through a painting or a handmade remedy, my goal is the same: to create something honest, beautiful, and helpful — and to point back to the One who made us to create.
